Spiker is an AI volleyball app that delivers professional-level game tracking, highlights, and statistics directly to your smartphone. Spiker was developed by experts with backgrounds in leading tech companies and playing volleyball.
What do I need to use Spiker?
All you need is a smartphone!
How does it work?
Just position your smartphone courtside and start playing. Our AI technology takes over from there, analyzing player movements and actions like spikes, blocks, sets, and digs automatically.
How should I set up the camera angle for recording games?
For optimal performance, we recommend positioning your camera behind the court (endline) or from the side, ensuring all players are visible in the frame. Make sure the full court is captured with a clear, unobstructed view. Avoid recording from directly under the net or from angles where players overlap significantly.
How does Spiker identify and track my performance?
Spiker tracks all players on the court using advanced video processing technology. After the video is processed, you will have the opportunity to tag yourself from among the players captured in the footage, allowing the app to accurately attribute actions and stats to the correct player.
Are highlights and stats generated for all players?
Yes, Spiker provides highlights and statistical analysis for all players captured in the recording. Each participant can be tagged post-processing to access their personalized stats and highlight reels.
How accurate is Spiker's tracking technology?
With the recommended setup, our tracking and analysis are incredibly accurate. Our AI detects rallies, spikes, blocks, and other key actions with high reliability, and we're constantly improving the technology to bring you the closest to professional analytics.
Is there a fee to use Spiker?
Spiker is currently available for free for a limited time. We aim to gather feedback and improve the platform during this period.
Can Spiker analyze pre-recorded footage?
Yes, the Spiker app can handle pre-recorded footage via the import feature.
Can Spiker track multiple games in one session?
Currently, Spiker is designed to track single games. Users are encouraged to manually start and stop recording between games for accurate statistics. If precise stats for individual games are not a priority, you may record continuously to capture data across multiple games in one large "session".
What is the processing time for videos?
Processing times can vary from 10 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the video's length. Our team is continuously working to enhance our technology to decrease this waiting period.
How much phone battery do I need?
We suggest starting with at least 80% battery for recording sessions up to two hours to ensure uninterrupted recording. To avoid battery concerns, a battery case might be a good investment.
How much storage is required for recording?
It's best to have at least 10 GB of free storage for optimal recording quality. Spiker efficiently manages your storage by backing up videos to the cloud and removing them from your device after recording to conserve space.
My video upload is slow. How can I improve upload speeds?
Video uploads are performed over WiFi to ensure speed and efficiency. For faster uploads: • Ensure your device is connected to a reliable WiFi network and plugged into power. • Restart the Spiker app by force quitting and reopening. • Disable Low Power Mode. • Keep the app open during the upload. If you encounter issues with uploads, restarting your device and following the above steps usually helps.
